Fuel System for
Rotax Aircraft Engines
Fuel Line
- Translucent blue urethane fuel and primer line: the reliable and economical
choice
- Black fuel injection hose: the durable and super flexible
choice
- Internal diameters:
1/8" for primer circuits
1/4" for 2-stroke circuits and 4-stroke after the pump
5/16" for 4-strokes before the pump
Pulse Line
- This translucent, 1/4 i.d. line is much more rigid than fuel
line. It is prescribed by Rotax for its efficient and durable
transmission of pulses from the crankshaft to the pump on
2-stroke engines

Water Strainer (Gascolator)
- A water strainer should be part of all aircraft fuel
systems. It ensures that any water that could have been drawn
into the system will not reach the engine
- The one we sell is of a durable, all aluminium and steel
design
- It incorporates a fine metal mesh filter, a water drain tap
and a third connection on top for your primer supply
Fine Filter
- We offer a high quality, Bosch brand, fine plastic mesh
filter
- If installed with the elbow facing up, it will contribute to
prevent water from getting to the engine
Primer pump
- Our primer pump is a superior quality model made in the USA
- The cheap imported variety is not recommended since its
sealing deteriorates quickly, creating air leaks which on
certain installations can create engine failures
Rotax and Mikuni Fuel Pumps
- Spare Rotax and Mikuni fuel pumps are
available from our
inventory of genuine Rotax Aircraft Engine parts. Some repair
kits are also available.
